From mid-March to early April, we went for a ride in Asia: a few days in Hong Kong, a short stay in the Philippines two weeks in North Vietnam and then two and a half days Japan. A real journey!
I begin by Hong Kong, following the chronology of events.
Hong Kong is great, you can imagine and it is swarming with people, much of which carries anti-microbial scrub. But I felt no sensation of suffocation. When
we arrived, the weather was gray when we went back too. In fact, we learned that it is almost always the gray, even on sunny days. Blame it on pollution and factories in China, relatives.
But Hong Kong is not an island full of skyscrapers, is a group of islands including Lantau where we were staying. Lantau Island is where the new airport. Of course, around, there are buildings but there are also very quiet green spots. Our hotel was on the beach, in a city, Mui Wo, super quiet when the main mode of transport seemed to be cycling. Hong Kong and join the world Modern no problem: 5mn walk from the hotel to join the ferry dock that serves regularly LA city.
Some views of Hong Kong, as seen on TV, so as you can imagine:
Besides there is something that shocked me tremendously: a sort of court of miracles in a pedestrian tunnel, men, legless, armless, burned, disfigured by the sleeve. I think they are a kind of network, behind the scenes. I want to learn more about these people: who they depend, where are they? For now, I have no elements.
