What Does A Sore Inside My Nose Mean

EYES WITHOUT FACE - 1960

If there is in French cinema is a strong tradition of wonderful , Méliès to Cocteau, there is little mention of the great authors claiming fantastic outside of Georges Franju.

Rigor writing, narrative flow, commitment to the scenery and objects, inspired expressionist film, it suddenly switches into the coldest realism.
No complacency in horror, but a congealing in shape, close to catalepsy.

The magic of the film owes much to the cinematographer Eugen Schufftan, one of the great masters of "black and white."

Primal Fear
The course of fear takes place exclusively on their faces.
The face that fear is also that fear.
Franju posed by the equation: Primal Fear, is be afraid of fear?
