GREETINGS
Brian De Palma and Scorsese met for the first time in 65 at the University of New York. At 29, De Palma was already a legend for aspiring filmmakers. Behind him several independent films like "Greetings" (68) and "Hi, Mom!" (71), shot with an unknown actor named Robert. When Scorsese moved to Los Angeles, De Palma presented him with a young actress named Jennifer Salt, who shared a house with Margot Kidder because they had played the leading roles of "Sisters" (73). Kidder started out with De Palma. At the time, Bobby Fischer was playing the title to Spassky World Championship Chess, Chess and madness had won this band. Brian Margot taught to play, and whenever she made a stupid move, he overturned the chessboard.
