Brian De Palma and Scorsese met for the first time in 65 at the University of New York. At 29, De Palma was already a legend for aspiring filmmakers. When Scorsese moved to Los Angeles, De Palma presented him with a young actress named Jennifer Salt, who shared a house with Margot Kidder because they had played the leading roles of "Sisters" (73).
